The Reformation
The twenty-three years since the Battle of Hogwarts haven’t been easy, and the clean-up hasn’t been pretty, but with so many people rising from the ashes of their former lives, it’s hard not to be optimistic. All has been well in the wizarding world, the people finally finding peace under the guidance of Kingsley Shacklebolt.
It’s taken more than two decades, but true progress in the removal of pureblood supremacy laws have been a foundational element in allowing many within the wizarding world a better night’s sleep. But just when it seems like things are finally getting back to normal for residents, history has a funny little way of turning for the worst.
The Great Azkaban Break-Out of 2020
2020 saw many great things in the wizarding world, but the most notorious was a contrast to all of them. Though it is still unknown how the break-out took place, it is known that twenty-four known deatheaters escaped during it and only a small fraction of them have been caught and reinstated since. In the two years since the event, many efforts and much energy have been put forth in discovering the details that led to such a terrible event.
One thing is clear: It’s not known exactly who or what is behind it nor their intentions for doing so, but there have been disappearances. And these disappearances have caused panic. Voldemort might be a name for the history books, but the threat of his supporters is terrifying and the backlash sure to come from their involvement in these disappearances is sure to be bad.
The Here and Now
Fast forward into present day. While things haven’t reached anything near their bleakness as during the reign of Voldemort, life isn’t easy for the people of the wizarding world. With the constant fear of shattered peace forever on their minds, it’s a little difficult to remain optimistic. In order to keep things running smooth at Hogwarts, two young ministry officials have been sent to keep an eye on things and ensure that nothing out of the ordinary is taking place around the school. While the teachers are tense about the addition of these officials, many don‘t mind they‘re presence and several parents are more content knowing they‘re children are being watched over.
Another Cliché is an advanced-to-intermediate Harry Potter Roleplay board set twenty-two years after the events of Deathly Hallows. We are rated R. Also, we offer many additional activities to enhance the roleplay experience such as an actual galleon and house point system which will rewards members for activity.
