after the gryffindor quidditch practice was over for that evening, sirius walked himself down to the hospital wing to get his many bruises checked out to make sure that is just what they were, and nothing more, so he was in tip top shape for the match on satuday. chase had joined him, not wanting to leave sirius to the infirmiry on his own, knowing his cousins hate for hospitals and anything resembling them. hell, he couldn't blame him, sirius had a long medical history from stupid stunts and risky moves in the air and on the ground. for one, years ago, sirius had tried to play with a adolecent dragon when he was about ten years old, becaue the dragon was caged. the dragon broke free and its posioned fang went through his knee, and sirius's right knee has never been quite the same since, though its nothing that bothers him regularly so it does not keep him out of the air.
when they reached the hospital and he got checked out, he was given three potions, one for the cuts, one of the bruises and one for the broken collerbone he had been ignoring all afternoon since the first round of double hit bludgers his beaters had sent at him. he was very proud of them of course, for double teaming him like that and he assumed that would be their stratagy when necessesary during the match. he generally let his team do whatever it took to get the score, and to keep the other team at bay. he let them learn their own styles of keeping up with each other, and at practices tried to give them insentive to work together and to learn the best ways to do that. he knew he barked a few too many orders, but he figured what could it hurt, if they won this weekend, then there was nothing saying that his way of doing things was not working.
now, three days later, he was getting ready to shake hands with the stunning slytherin beauty and rival in this case, estrella malfoy. he was not really too sure on where they stood since the night of the ball, but he was not worried about it now, the only thing that mattered today was making sure his team beat the pulp out of her team. of course, after the match was over, the next captain would be his enemy and he would have to talk to her and figure out where they stood completely, because he wanted to know what was going to happen. they had said lots of stuff, thought about the possibilities, but so far, it was left at a couple of make out sessions and talking, a possible romance blossoming, one he cared about more than a night or two and hoping to avoid the girl in the hall. but for now, this was not the issue at hand, and he was in the locker room waiting on the rest of his team to give them the captains pep talk, it seemed a generally mandatory thing, and he actually did have some stuff he wanted to tell them.
chase and kale wandered in at the same time, joking together in a way sirius had not seen the two do very often. he did not know that his cousin and montague were that good of friends, but then again, cameryn had once had a thing with kale so perhaps that was how they met. oh well, not of importance now. "hey guys, have you seen the others?" sirius asked them casually and the both of them shrugged their shoulders as they started to strip off their normal clothes and put on their quidditch robes. sirius was not too worried, he knew the others were on their way and he was just being nervous and probably annoying by asking them because the chances that they had seen them on the way in were slim, neither boy ever ate before a match, which weather or not that was a good thing, sirius did not know. now, he waited on the rest of his team to get there, and leaned absentmindedly against the lockers until they would get there.

Juniper Hollis wasn't nervous about the Quidditch match that day. She never was nervous about Quidditch because she had faith in her team and knew that they would kick Slytherin's asses. With a slight yawn she walked into the boy's locker room to have a quick talk with anyone who was in there. Their last practice three days ago went over pretty well and she didn't have a doubt in her mind that Gryffindor would win. She casually strolled into the boy's locker room with a mischivious grin on her face. She covered her eyes with her hand and called out "Female in the room! If you're naked, cover yourself up!" . From what she could tell, Sirius, Kale, and Chase were the only ones in there and they usually didn't care when she came to talk to them as long as they were dressed. She stood there, covering her bright green eyes and waited for the boys to respond. It was customary for her to give everyone a pep talk and get everyone psyched for the match.
She herself wasn't in uniform yet, and had her brom and the rest of her equipment in the girl's locker room. Her red locks her loose and wavy and she wore a tight red Gryffindor tank top and sweatpants along with her Gryffindor team jacket. Eventhough she wasn't in uniform she wasn't going to hide her Gryffindor pride. With a sigh, she shifted her weight to one leg and stuck out her hip. She wondered what Sirius was thinking at the moment. He was susally a bit tense during Quidditch matches and was probably a bit nervous. Espeacially being as they were against their biggest rival, Slytherin. "Is it safe to look now?" she asked jokingly.

O.J. Wood charged through the locker room door and promptly barreled into Juniper, which he was not expecting. "Oh geez! I'm so sorry Juniper!" He said, his muscular arms automatically catching her. He squeezed her upper arms lightly as a second apology and continued to where Sirius was standing.
"Hey mate,"he said. "Sorry I'm late. The alarm didn't go off." O.J. had hurriedly dressed himself in his robes already and was anxiously shifting his weight. He wasn't nervous: he was ready to go out and play! He crossed the room and picked up his bat and broom, which he had hastily dumped on the floor in order to catch Juniper.
O.J. straightened up and said, "June, I'm really really sorry. Are you sure your ok?" He had hit her with the door and himself. Not a light blow. He sat down on a bench near Kale and got ready for the pep talk he knew was coming.

Estrella breathed in the crisp fall air as she walked down to the Quidditch Pitch. It was going to be a beautiful day for a Quidditch match. Perfect weather, only the slightest hint of a breeze—yes, absolutely perfect weather, so why was she so nervous?
Estrella picked up her pace so she was jogging down to the Pitch. She knew why she was nervous. It was that dratted Gryffindor Team Captain, James Sirius Potter. Estrella blushed. Even the thought of him made her act in strange ways. Before this day she’d been known as sort of an Ice Queen when it came to boys. Rumors had even circulated that she was lesbian (not true, of course) but with just one flirtatious smile Sirius had brought her to her knees, and she really didn’t mind.
As Estrella entered the Slytherin changing room she shook those thoughts form her head. Now was not the time to be getting “love drunk high” as Rose had put it once. Estrella needed to concentrate on the game at hand. She was sure crushing Sirius and his team would make her feel better about liking him.
It took Estrella only five minutes to change and then she sat around waiting for the rest of her team. Soon Elliot Larks and Michael Everard came in. Estrella sighed. The two were barely talking to each other these days, though they still went practically every where together, and no one really knew why. Estrella suspected that even Michael didn’t know, and Elliot wasn’t about to tell him.
Elliot walked moodily down to the Quidditch Pitch, Michael at her side. She didn’t know why she continued to tolerate him, but she did. Thankfully he seemed to have finally gotten the hint that she was mad at him and stopped blabbing incessantly, choosing instead to walk beside her in silence.
When they entered the changing room Elliot saw that their captain, Estrella Malfoy was already there, waiting. Elliot gave the other girl a quick smile before quickly vanishing into the girls’ side of the room.
Michael watched his former best friend hurry away from him sadly. He didn’t understand what Elliot’s problem was. They’d never fought like this before. With an almost pleading look at Estrella, like maybe she could help, he entered the boys’ area.
It took only a few minutes for Elliot and Michael to change into their Slytherin team robes and return to the main changing room area. They sat on opposite sides of the room, Elliot looking determinedly away form Michael while he looked at the ground. Estrella, for her part, sat on a stool in the middle of the room, her hazel eyes alternating between her two players and waiting for the rest of her team to arrive.

Kelhy Green sprinted down to the Pitch. She liked to be early for matches. She shoved the door open to the changing rooms and smiled, "Hey Stella!" She lightly punched her friend's shoulder. "Hello Elliot, Michael. Ready for the match?"
Without waiting for their reply, she plopped down next to Stella. She was already in her robes and raring to go. Kelhy tapped her bat on her boots a couple of times. This was an awkward silence. She hoped, for the rest of the teams' sakes, that they were not late. Other wise, at the next practice, Kelhy would get them. They would pay.
